Job Description of Physical Therapist :

Our physical therapy clinic, which focuses on post op injuries and joint disorders, is in need of a Licensed Physical Therapist. We’re looking for a compassionate, forward-thinking Physical Therapist who excels at assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. We operate a high-energy, positive-thinking environment and we offer our patients gentle encouragement to achieve their goals. Date need to start: 1-2 WEEKS


During a patient’s initial appointment, you’ll ask about their medical history, evaluate their symptoms and develop a rehabilitation plan that aligns with the patient’s personal needs and goals.

Throughout the treatment process, you’ll work directly with the patient to teach them different functional tasks and exercises intended to strengthen or stretch muscles as well as alleviate pain.

The responsibilities of a physical therapist include:

  • Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms
  • Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing a treatment plan
  • Teaching patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques
  • Providing stimulation or massage to promote healing
  • Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers
  • Maintaining patient records and keeping track of goals and progress
  • Advising the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises

As a physical therapist, you’ll be a vital member of a healthcare team, all working together to help patients with both acute and chronic conditions.


  • Must be a graduate of an CAAPTE accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
  • Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate reporting, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of electronic equipment.
  • Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
